St. Nicholas Catholic Church

Our designs for this project were two fold: drawing up a master plan of the campus, and performing an interior redesign of the toilet rooms. The master plan included the design of a school entrance canopy. This canopy would highlight the main building access point and provide shelter to students waiting outside. The interior work included the remodeling of the existing Women’s Room to be ADA compliant, including a slight room enlargement and the addition of another toilet (ADA) & wheelchair accessible toilet stall. The addition of a single-user “ADA Family Restroom,” with one ADA toilet and ADA sink, situated in a portion of an existing storage room at the south end of the existing Kitchen. The aforementioned storage room to be relocated in a newly partitioned space at the north end of the Kitchen, with the unused remainder of the aforementioned storage room adjacent to the new ADA Family Restroom partitioned into a small secondary storage room. After the work was done to retrofit the restrooms some cosmetic remodeling was performed with a new suspended ceiling and refinishing of the terrazzo floor.
