Frank Ira Bennett Elementary School

This school is consists of an original building built in 1927 and a 1963 classroom addition consisting on the east. As part of the Partnership for Chicago Schools Capital Improvement projects this work consisted of architectural, mechanical and electrical upgrades to the existing facility and landscaping improvements on the entire site. Key components of the work included new energy efficient boilers, the addition of rooftop ventilation units, door and window replacement, energy efficient lighting, emergency generator and site improvements such as islands, fencing and parkway trees.
